Biography


Ts. Dr. Mohammad Adam Adman has been a senior lecturer at the Department of Energy and Environment, Faculty of Civil Engineering Technology, UMPSA since 2021 and currently serves as Deputy Director of the Sustainable Development Center (SDC), UMPSA, on September 1, 2024. He holds a PhD in Community Health from the National University of Malaysia (UKM), collaborating with the United Nations University - International Institute for Global Health (UNU-IIGH), Kuala Lumpur. Beginning his academic career in 2008, he has held roles including Director of the International Office, Deputy Director of the Center for Research and Industrial Linkages, and Coordinator for the Environmental Health Program at Universiti Selangor. Before academia, he served in the Hazardous Substances Division at Malaysia's Department of Environment (DOE). His research interests focus on air pollution and its health effects, safety and health, and hazardous waste management. He is also a Visiting Lecturer at Universitas Diponegoro, Indonesia (UNDIP), a Guest Lecturer at the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM), a Research Fellow at the Pahang Ecology Research Center (PERC), UCYP University, and a member of various professional organizations, including the Institute of Engineers Malaysia (IEM), the Institution of Geospatial & Remote Sensing Malaysia (IGRSM), the Clean Air Forum Society of Malaysia (MyCAS), the Malaysian Association of Environmental Health (MAEH), and the Malaysian Society for Occupational Safety & Health (MSOSH). In 2017, he joined as a Medical Volunteer at the 29th Southeast Asian Games in Kuala Lumpur.
