Biography


Mohd Hafizi Zohari is a research fellow of the Advance Structural Integrity and Vibration Research (ASIVR) Group at the Faculty of Mechanical and Automotive Engineering Technology. He is a professional engineer registered with the Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM) and a corporate member of the Institute of Engineers Malaysia (IEM). After graduating from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM), he served as a production engineer at Perodua Manufacturing Sdn. Bhd. (PMSB) from 2005 to 2006. Up to date, he has 16 years of experience in teaching and research activities, most of it at Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA). In addition, he has contributed as a part-time tutor for three semesters during PhD study at the University of Southern Queensland, Australia. He has shown vast interest in mechanical vibration, advanced signal analysis, structural health monitoring (SHM), and non-destructive testing research areas. A very results-oriented leader: currently very active mentoring research students (graduated 2 Masters and 1 PhD); published high-impact ISI/SCOPUS articles; and presented many papers at international and national conferences. Currently, Dr. Hafizi leads a few national-level projects in structural health monitoring (SHM), most of which utilize FBG sensors in UMPSA. Ir. Dr. Hafizi has done a 12-month' industrial attachment at Proton Sdn. Bhd.'s Research and Development (R&D) department in 2015. He conducts a project called” Dynamic model updating of body-in-white (BIW) structure" under PROTON’s Local Expert Attachment Program (LEAP).
