Biography
Dr. Siti Hanani Mat Yasin is a Senior Lecturer in the Centre for Mathematical Sciences at Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA). She has been starting her career in teaching and research at Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia as a Tutor since 2010. Dr. Hanani completed her Bachelor’s degree in Statistics at Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia before pursuing her Master’s degree in Quality and Productivity Improvement at the same university. She later obtained her PhD in Mathematics from the Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah in 2025.
Dr. Hanani’s research interests focus on mathematical modelling of fluid flow, computational fluid dynamics, applied differential equations. and engineering education. Dr. Hanani’s work focuses on developing mathematical models to better understand complex fluid behaviour in natural and industrial systems, such as heat transfer processes. She also explores numerical methods to simulate and analyse these fluid systems accurately.
Although she is at the early stage of her academic career, Dr. Hanani is committed to developing her research and contributing to the field of applied mathematics. As a lecturer, Dr. Hanani is passionate about teaching and helping students build a strong foundation in mathematics.
