Biography


I am Noor Ida Amalina Ahamad Nordin. I am working as lecturer in Faculty of Chemical & Natural Resources Engineering (FKKSA), Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP). I started my working career as a research officer where I am responsible in project involving extraction of active ingredient in plant. From there, the interest in research field was developed in me and I decided to continue my master study in Universiti Teknologi Malaysia in year 2004. In 2006, I started my academic career where, I joined UMP and continue my PhD study in 2011, registered as PhD student in Faculty of Biotechnology and Biomolecular Sciences, Universiti Putra Malaysia. In 2016, I obtained my Phd in Environmental Biotechnology.

My research interest are related to waste treatment and utilization of biomass fiber. I am specializing in modifying of surface natural fiber for biocomposite production. I have experienced in doing steam and chemical treatment for surface treatment of natural fiber. Previously, I am working with oil palm biomass fiber for biocomposite production. From the project, three papers successfully published in 2013 to 2017. Currently, I am working with others type of natural fiber to obtain nano-size particles for biocomposite production.
