Biography
A traffic safety expert, Dr. Intan Suhana bt Mohd Razelan looks for ways to reduce crash incidents, save lives and engineer safer roadways through the development of road environment safety index, intersection’s environment safety analysis and other related traffic safety works. Intan's work also involves safer roadway design and conveying road safety knowledge to other road safety related organizations through her involvement as a consultant for National Blue Ocean Strategy (NBOS) under road safety cluster. She had managed to lead a team of experts for the development of road safety strategic planning at several risky districts aiming to minimize their crash incidents cases. Her national reputation in transportation engineering and human factors is supported by her 15 years’ experience as project engineer at various developments, as well as at Faculty of Civil Engineering & Earth Resources prior to joining the Universiti Malaysia Pahang. Her work with safety index involves a projection of future road safety index by taking into account the diversity of the road environment itself had been translated into state of the art software. Her achievements in this field have been successfully patented and copyrighted after she managed to won several medals from various international research exhibition in Malaysia and also in United Kingdom.
