Biography
Associate Professor Ts. Dr. Khairil Azman Masri is an expert in Highway & Pavement Engineering. His research interests are sustainable pavement material, advanced pavement design, nanomaterials, and traffic and transportation engineering. He has a particular interest in various applications of innovative materials, especially for flexible pavement. After graduating with his Master's Degree in 2012, Dr. Khairil joined the construction industry as a site engineer and a pavement engineer before pursuing his PhD in 2014. Upon graduation, He was awarded the Graduate On Time (GOT) Student during PhD and Best Student Awards for his master's degree studies.
Dr. Khairil joined UMPSA in 2018Â and teaches highway, traffic, and geotechnical engineering courses and laboratories. He has published over 100 research articles in reputable local and international journals & proceedings. On top of that, he also secures over 30 research grants worth over two million ringgit. As an academician, he also became a reviewer for various conferences and publishers. In addition, Dr. Khairil received the Anugerah Perkhidmatan Cemerlang (APC) Award for 2019 and 2021 and Anugerah Cendekia Bitara Award for the publication category for years 2022 and 2023.
Dr. Khairil is also a member of the Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM), the Malaysia Board of Technologists (MBOT), and the Road Engineering Association of Malaysia (REAM).
