Biography

Dr. Khairil is an expert in Highway & Transportation Engineering, and his research interests are in advanced pavement material, advanced pavement design, nanomaterial, traffic engineering, and transport engineering. He has a particular interest in nanomaterial application towards asphalt pavement. Dr. Khairil joined UMP in 2018 and teaches highway & traffic engineering and geotechnical engineering subjects. He has published about seventy journal & proceeding articles and became a reviewer for various conferences and publishers. During his Ph.D. study, he was awarded the Graduate On Time (GOT) student and Best Student Awards during his master degree study. In addition, Dr. Khairil received Anugerah Perkhidmatan Cemerlang (APC) for 2019 and 2021. He is also a member of the Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM) and a member of the Malaysia Board of Technologists (MBOT).
