Biography
Kang Mei Feng is a Mandarin language teacher at Centre for Modern Languages, UMP.
She obtained her first degree in Bachelor of Languages and Linguistics (Chinese Language)(Hons)(UM) in 2006.
Her most relevant experience in educational sector since year 2003. She had started teaching primary school in Malaysia while waiting for her A-Level (STPM) result. After graduate from UM, she started her first career in Singapore since 2016 until 2012.
Year 2009, she exposed to educational group with ZhiCheng Private School (Singapore) for teaching Mandarin Language to student of Primary 5, Secondary 1 and Secondary 2.
Year 2011, she exposed to a higher level educational group with Singapore Ministry Of Education (MOE), teaching at Bukit Batok Secondary School (BBSS) in Singapore teaching Mandarin language to secondary student.
Year 2012 until now, she become a Mandarin language teacher and teacher advisor for Mandarin club in University Malaysia Pahang. She is teaching the course for Mandarin beginners and Mandarin Intermediate. Among her expertise are Language & Linguistics (Mandarin), Educational Linguistics and Hanyu Shui Ping Kaoshi (HSK) (Chinese Proficiency Test). Among agencies that she has trained are Conversational Mandarin for Kuantan Port Consortium Sdn Bhd, Conversational Mandarin for Amanah Saham Nasional Berhad.
She has published two mandarin modules which are Mandarin 2 and Mandarin for all: book 2, journals and conference proceedings.
Among awards that she has received due to her excellence performance in service are Excellent service awards (APC) UMP in 2016 and the best coordinator in CMLHS in 2016.
