Ts. Dr. Lee Yong Siang is a highly accomplished civil engineering professional, academic and trainer. His diverse background encompasses project management, research, and consultancy. He is a certified trainer, QLASSIC assessor, Circular Economy specialist, and experienced practitioner in both building and infrastructure projects. Currently, he holds the position of Senior Lecturer at Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA), where he oversees academic programs, research projects, and industry collaborations in the field of civil engineering.
With extensive experience in the construction industry, Dr. Lee has successfully managed various building and infrastructure projects including high-rise building projects. He has demonstrated proficiency in implementing LEAN, SIX SIGMA principles, thereby achieving budget and operational objectives.
As a proactive contributor to industry standards, Ts. Dr. Lee played a pivotal role in developing Malaysia’s inaugural sustainable infrastructure rating tool, INFRASTAR. This initiative was a collaborative effort between the Construction Industry Development Board (CIDB) and research group.
Ts. Dr. Lee possesses a strong proficiency in digital construction tools, risk assessment, and data analysis. He holds certifications as a Professional Technologist (MBOT), QLASSIC Assessor (CIDB), an AutoCAD Certified Associate and registered as graduate engineer (BEM).
His problem-solving abilities and collaborative approach have earned him recognition. He is also multilingual, fluent in English, Malay, and Mandarin.
