Biography

Mohd Azmir Bin Arifin is currently a senior lecturer at the Faculty of Engineering Technology of Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP). His current research projects focus on the use of self-developed novel polymeric microcarriers in various cell culture applications and also on the potentials of local Malaysian plant extracts. Dr. Azmir areas of expertise include cell and tissue culture, biomaterials and fermentation technology. Dr. Azmir has authored and co-authored numerous journal publications, conference articles and book chapters in the aforementioned topics and has obtained national and international-level awards. He is currently registered as a professional technologist at Malaysia Board of Technologists and has served as a consultant to Silverline Biologics Sdn. Bhd. since 2016 in the development of new products.
