Biography

My research interest focuses on the catalysis for the transformation of nonrenewable and renewable feedstock into valuable chemicals, materials and energy. In specific, i) conversion of polyol (glycerol and carbohydrates) and biomass (Cellulose, lignin) into chemicals and fuels, ii) oxidation of primary C-H bond of C1-C4 alkanes, aromatic and desulphurization process, iii) Utilising industrial waste as feedstock and catalyst, iv) Chemicals and materials for oil & gas well intervention, v) Ceramic Ball, vi) energy storage material, vii) water treatment and monitoring. We have filed 12 IPs and secured various research grants in addition to publish in high impact journals such as in Science, Angewandte Chemie, ACS Catalysis, Langmuir,Catalysis Science & Technology, Applied Catalysis A: General,  Journal of Catalysis, Dalton Transactions. I have been appointed and referred by related industries; among companies is FPG Oleochemicals Sdn Bhd, Petronas Gas Berhad, Neu Solutions Sdn Bhd, Artistic Support Sdn Bhd, Rakannusa Corp. I'm listed among the World’s Top 2% Scientists based on a Stanford University report and recognized by the Academy of Sciences Malaysia (ASM) as the Top Research Scientist Malaysia (TRSM). I have been invited as guest professor in Hebei University, University of Vienna, Chalmers University of Technology and University of Trieste.
