Biography


Ts. Dr. Mohd Razali Hanipah is a Senior Lecturer in the Faculty of Mechanical & Automotive Engineering Technology, Universiti Malaysia Pahang, teaching various Automotive courses. He has been appointed as a Professional Technologist by the Malaysia Board of Technologists (MBOT) in Automotive Technology since March 2018. He is a Chartered Engineer through Institution of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE (UK)) since August 2018. He has been a research fellow with Automotive Engineering Centre since 2017.

Previously, he was a Production Engineering Engineer in Perodua Manufacturing Sdn Bhd from February 2003 until November 2005. He oversaw the Body Engineering Section in two new model development projects (Avanza and Myvi) and subsequent improvement projects in the body assembly line, Body Shop. During that time, he has been working closely with Daihatsu Motor Corporation (Ikeda Plant Osaka, Japan) and Astra Daihatsu Motor (Jakarta, Indonesia)

He has vast research experience in the development of free-piston linear generator engine for series hybrid electric vehicle (SHEV) which he has accumulated since 2006 when he was a research student in the Linear Generator (LG) research team in Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS.  It was further enhanced while pursuing his doctoral degree where he work closely with Scott Racing Ltd in developing a free-piston engine generator prototype in Sir Joseph Swan, Centre for Energy Research, Newcastle University, UK from December 2011 until June 2015.

Currently, he is actively engaged in camless engine technology and linear motor motion control research and development projects.
