Biography


Ts. Dr. Mohd Yusrizal Bin Mohd Yusoof is a Senior Lecturer at Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA), specialising in automotive and mechanical engineering with a strong emphasis on Autotronic and mechatronic systems. His field of expertise integrates smart manufacturing, manufacturing systems, Quality Management Systems (QMS), new product development, supply chain management, and ergonomics—positioning him at the forefront of Industry 4.0-driven automotive innovation.

He brings over 13 years of industrial experience from Mercedes-Benz Malaysia, where he was actively involved in vehicle production, diagnostics, and advanced manufacturing operations. His contributions span new-model introduction, system integration, production-line enhancement, and continuous quality improvement for automotive components, providing him with a comprehensive understanding of end-to-end manufacturing ecosystems.

His research focuses on smart manufacturing solutions, particularly IoT-driven systems for real-time monitoring, ergonomic risk management, and process optimisation in automotive manufacturing environments. He is passionate about developing intelligent systems that enhance productivity, safety, and operational efficiency while supporting sustainable industrial practices.

As a certified Professional Technologist (Ts.), Ts. Dr. Yusrizal is also a strong advocate of industry-integrated education through Work-Based Learning (WBL). He actively collaborates with leading automotive companies to bridge academic knowledge with real-world applications. His career shows a commitment to innovation, leadership, and the development of engineers ready to drive change in modern manufacturing.
