Biography

Dr. Noor Raha Mohd Radzuan is an Associate Professor at the Centre for Modern Languages (CML), Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP). With over 20 years of experience in teaching at tertiary level, she has taught various English proficiency courses at undergraduate level and several courses at postgraduate level namely Language for Specific Purposes and Research Methodology. Having graduated 3 PhD students (with 1 GOT student) and 3 Masters students, she is now looking for more enthusiastic and motivated postgraduate students to be under her supervision.

In research and innovation field, she has conducted a lot of research and published on the field of Applied Linguistics, specifically in oral communication (i.e., oral presentation competence and speaking skills) and English for Specific Purposes. Her publications and research interest includes technology in language learning and teaching, learning and teaching strategies, vocabulary learning and students’ motivation and apprehension.

She has also won several medals for her research and innovations at local and international exhibitions. She is also active in community-based research and still leading Kindy Talk projects to enhance the professionalism of preschool educators in terms of the English language proficiency specifically in the East Coast Region of Malaysia. Currently she is the Principal Investigator for a matching grant research with UNIMAP, Al-Bukhary International University and UNISZA on assessment in blended learning environment. She serves as an Associate Editor for the International Journal of Language Education and Applied Linguistics (IJLEAL), UMP.
