Biography


Dr. Shazwani Kamarudin joins Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA) as a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Software Engineering in the Faculty of Computing. She holds a B.S. and M.S. in Computer Science from Universiti Sultan Zainal Abidin, Malaysia, and a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Arizona State University, USA. Her primary research interests include social media analysis specific to mental health or human behavior study using social media data. Shazwani is a Malaysian Body of Technologists (MBOT) registered Professional Technologist. She is also actively involved in providing training to UMPSA students for a professional certificate in Artificial Intelligence certified by Huawei Malaysia.

Dr. Shazwani is *ACTIVELY* looking for a potential student who is highly motivated and can work independently to conduct research in the area of data mining, machine learning, social media mining, and natural language processing.
