Biography
Nurlin Abu Samah is a senior lecturer at the Faculty of Industrial Sciences and Technology, Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah. Her research focuses on the synthesis and characterization of novel sorbent materials for the removal of inorganic and organic pollutants from water. Her work includes the development of molecularly and ionically imprinted polymers, as well as cellulose-based sorbents. She has conducted extensive research, presentations, and publications on the application of molecularly imprinted polymers for diclofenac removal from aqueous systems. More recently, her research has centered on the synthesis of ion-imprinted polymers for arsenic removal from water. Currently, she is working on the removal of PFOA from water and the application of a statistical approach in a water quality parameters study at the river.
