Biography


I pursued my Bachelor’s degree in Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) in 19972001 in the field of Chemical Engineering. Having interest in enzymes and microbiology, I later enrolled for a Master’s programme also in UTM. While waiting for the completion of my study, I joined Kolej Universiti Kejuruteraan & Teknologi Malaysia (now Universiti Malaysia Pahang, UMP) in August 2005 as a tutor. I completed my Master of Engineering (Biotechnology) in 2006. In 2016, I obtained my PhD degree in Industrial Biotechnology in Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM). I have taught several undergraduate courses including Bioseparation Engineering, Science & Engineering Material, and Numerical Methods & Optimization. My main research interests are separation process for bioproducts and biomass waste utilization. I am also an active proofreader and for academic texts, mainly research articles and postgraduate thesis. I am also a translator for EnglishMalay language pair, certified by the Malaysian Institute of Translation & Books (Institut Terjemahan & Buku Malaysia, ITBM).
