Biography

Dr. Ruhil Amal Azmuddin is a senior lecturer at the Centre for Modern Languages, Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah. She has teaching experience spanning for many years in renowned higher education institutions such as International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM), University College Yayasan Pahang (UCYP) and Limkokwing University Malaysia. She obtained her Ph.D. in English Language Studies (ELS) in Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM), Master of Educational Studies from University of Newcastle, Australia (TESOL) and B.Ed (Hons.) TESL in Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM), Malaysia.  Dr. Amal has published locally and abroad in various peer-reviewed and Scopus journals in her fields of interest especially in reading English as a Second Language (ESL), Extensive Reading (ER), online reading strategies and teaching with technology.  She has also presented in conferences locally and abroad in those areas. Her external grants included being the principal investigator for Sustainable Research Collaboration Grant 2020, working closely with IIUM & UiTM and being a co-researcher with Malaysian Research University Network (MRUN) Translational Research Grant (USM-MTUN-MCUN) on Perio-Diabetes, working with IIUM, UKM and USM. Being a passionate trainer, she has teamed up with various training and consultancy units which include International English Language Testing System (IELTS) and Test of English for International Communication (TOEIC) in UMPSA. Her recent accomplishment was being conferred a gold award for journal publication category during the ‘Cendikia Bitara Awards 2022’.
