Biography
Dr. Salwana Mohamad @ Asmara is a PhD holder in Computer Science. She is a senior lecturer at Faculty of Computer Systems and Software Engineering,Universiti Malaysia Pahang. Her research interests are information systems, knowledge engineering, database, simulation and biodiversity informatics. Her main PhD work is about representing knowledge reasoning of expertise in crime investigation and visualizing the reasoning to assist the crime investigation. The result of the work has been published in several indexed journals, presented in international conferences and gained research award in exhibition. During her Post-doctoral research, she has involved in biodiversity informatics research. She has developed a biodiversity database of Kenyir landscape and published a result in indexed journals about species distribution using self-organizing map algorithm .
