Biography


Dr. Chin Siew Choo is a Professional Engineer registered with the Board of Engineers Malaysia and an associate professor at Universiti Malaysia Pahang. She obtained her PhD, MSc, and BEng in Civil Engineering at the University Technology of Petronas, Malaysia. Her research work focuses on the fields of structural strengthening and rehabilitation, natural fibre composites, fibre-reinforced concrete, green and sustainable building materials, as well as finite element analysis. Dr. Chin has published over 60 papers and won several innovation awards in her research field. She has performed several consulting projects on sustainable communication towers. She has more than 10 years of industrial and teaching experience in Civil Engineering. In 2019, she took a sabbatical leave to work on collaborative research in sustainable construction materials at the University of Greenwich, UK. She was also a member of the editorial board of Heliyon- Journal (Elsevier).
