Biography

An e-Learning enthusiast, Mr. Mohd Shafeirul Zaman Bin Abd Majid has been involved in promoting e-Learning approaches in teaching and learning processes since 2008 where he has led several researches and become master trainer for Massive Open Online Courses for distance education. He started with developing courseware for teaching engineering students at Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP), producing mobile application called ‘MoTEM’ for students’ ease of use that is the upgraded version of the courseware, venturing into Augmented Reality combined with gamification and at the same time managing MOOC courses at UMP as the Head of Program for Learning Technologies. His expertise, knowledge and experiences in e-Learning approaches and applications have allowed him to be invited to give talks and trainings at several higher learning institutions and school. Presented with Merit Award for e-Learning Category for University Academic Award in 2015 was among one of his biggest achievements besides being nominated in National Academic Award. His passion in instructional technologies has made him eager to embark deeper in the world of education apart from integrating the elements of humanistic values as one of the important tenets in e-Learning approaches.
