Biography


Shariza binti Jamek is a lecturer within the Faculty of Chemical & Natural Resources Engineering, Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP). She earned her Bachelor of Science in Honours (Biochemistry) from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia in 2003 and later received her Master of Science (Chemical Engineering) in Universiti Putra Malaysia in 2008. Later on by 2017, she obtained  her PhD in Biochemical Engineering from Technical University of Denmark  with specialization in enzyme technology and protein engineering. She has been teaching the biotechnology subjects which including biology for engineers, biochemistry, molecular biology, biochemistry and microbiology laboratory and industrial biotechnology.  Her research interests are in the field of enzyme technology and protein engineering which is specializing in the identification of novel enzymes and improvement of enzyme activity by targeted protein engineering. She has been with the faculty since 2009.
