Biography


 Dr. Sudhakar Kumarasamy is currently an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Mechanical and Automotive Engineering Technology, Universiti Malaysia Pahang, and Principal Research Fellow at the Centre for Automotive Engineering. He has held several visiting faculty and researcher positions at universities in India, Russia, Lithuania, Nepal, and Vietnam.

Dr. Sudhakar earned his Bachelor in Mechanical Engineering from the Government College of Engineering, Salem, University of Madras in 2001, and his Masters in Energy Management from the School of Energy & Environment Studies, Devi Ahilya University, Indore in 2006. He received his Ph.D. in Energy Engineering from the National Institute of Technology, Tiruchirapalli, India in 2013.

He serves as an Associate Editor for Heliyon, Frontiers in Energy Research (Solar section), and Energy Engineering (Scopus indexed). Actively involved in teaching and research in the field of Renewable Energy, his primary research areas include heat transfer in energy applications, exergy analysis, energy conservation, sustainability assessment, biofuel, solar thermal and PV systems, hybrid electric vehicles, energy modeling, and the food-water-energy nexus.

Dr. Sudhakar has published approximately 222 research papers in SCI/Scopus indexed international journals and conference proceedings, and has authored over ten technical books. He is a Certified Energy Manager and Auditor by the Bureau of Energy Efficiency, Ministry of Power, Government of India, as well as a Chartered Solar Engineer awarded by the Solar Energy Society of India and a Chartered Mechanical Engineer awarded by the Institution of Engineers, India.
