Biography
Gs. Dr. Syarifuddin Misbari has a background in remote sensing, geographical information system (GIS), Earth science and biology (Form 6). He graduated from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (Skudai) with a Bachelor Degree of Science (Remote Sensing) and Doctor of Philosophy (Remote Sensing) in 2013 and 2017, respectively. With two years of industrial experience and one year as Post-Doctoral research fellow, he is best known for his work in geospatial;blue and green carbon/biomass quantification, GIS in various fields, environmentall studies, landslide, hydrology, biodiversity
In April 2017, at the age of 28, he was recognized as the Recipient of Chancellor Award, the highest-ranked academic award in UTM by Her Royal Highness Raja Zarith Sofiah Binti Almarhum Sultan Idris Shah as the Chancellor of UTM (link: https://www.bharian.com.my/taxonomy/term/2646/2017/04/277260/graduan-perlu-berdaya-saing-permaisuri-johor). He is also the recipient of Student Excellent Award in Asia Pacific Asia Petroleum Geoscience Conference & Exhibition 2015.
