Biography
Dr. Siti Zanariah Satari obtained her Ph.D in Statistics from Universiti of Malaya in 2015 and currently is the Head of Programme (Data Analytics) at Centre for Mathematical Sciences, University Malaysia Pahang (UMP). She has also a Master’s degree in Mathematics (Statistics) and Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Mathematics from UTM. Her main research contributions have been in the areas of circular statistics, circular regression model, functional relationship model for circular data, outlier detection for circular regression model and multiple linear regression model, clustering algorithm for detecting multiple outliers, multiple regression method, wind direction and educational study analysis. In 2019, she proposed a new reporting mechanism for extra-curricular program at UMP using an Extra-Curricular Cumulative Grade Point Average (XCGPA) formula. Currently, she focusing on developing clustering-based procedure for identifying outliers in circular biomedical data and in 2020 involved in designing multitrack system for academic staff in UMP, known as iBAKAT. As senior lecturer, she has experienced in teaching, developing syllabus, and module writing forvarious statistics and mathematics courses such as storytelling and data visualization, counting and probability, elementary statistics, applied statistics, fundamental discrete structure, discrete structure & applications, basic mathematics, calculus, industrial statistics, research methodology, data collection and analysis, and data design analysis for undergraduate and postgraduate students in UMP for the past 16 years. She has published six academic modules under Penerbit UMP. She has also conducted several Data Analysis Workshops using Microsoft Excel, R and Tableau, training module for Industry.
